Ocelot Gymkhana ...
An evening of short, comic plays by The Brothers Kaufman.
Enter, if you dare, the weird and wonderful world of the
Brothers Kaufman as they present a smorgasbord of drama with a side-salad of
comedic strangeness: public nudity, Sicilian vendettas, holiday affairs, ocelot
gymkhana, bullying teachers, chocolate éclairs, frustrated playwrights,
ocelot gymkhana, male mammary glands, Leonardo da Vinci...ocelot gymkhana...
(Adult material, not suitable for children.)
About the plays:
All approx 10 mins or less, the plays have a wide variety of
styles and themes. Mostly comic, the Brothers like to explore the stranger side
of life. With a cast of eight professional actors, they investigate the private
life of Leonardo da Vinci, the romantic dalliances of a frustrated would-be
artist on holiday, the diverse offerings of an adult learning centre, the
paranoid delusions of suburban man and the tortured logic of a teacher
confronted with a very peculiar case of bullying. Simple stagings and costumes
bring to life the varied locations and bizarre range of characters and the
whole evening is accompanied by the original musical stylings of Brother
Julian.
